I'm a Toronto-based testing consultant and test project manager. I fell in love with systems more than 25 years ago, and the honeymoon isn't over yet.

I work with clients to design and implement practical testing practices to match their business risks. In test management, I specialize in large-scale systems integration tests. I also do overall program test management on multi-project programs, often at the same time.

I am now independent, after 13 years in IT services/consulting, working for one smallish and one very large company. I've had the good fortune to work on a tremendous range of mostly large projects for companies in varied domains, including retail, financial services, banking, telecommunications, and health care.

More than any other test I’ve managed, the challenges of big integration tests are multi-dimensional. They're fun to model, and enormous fun to manage, with people and logistical issues all their own. Over time, I've identified patterns, and evolved approaches that I've been presenting at conferences and teaching to test teams. I am also writing about managing this kind of test.

I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and experiences at AYE with people who have similar passions about doing the work I love.
