I'm a Toronto-based test project manager and consultant. I fell in love with systems more than 25 years ago, and the honeymoon isn't over yet.

I've been in IT services for 12 years, the last 3 for a very large company. I've had the good fortune to work on a tremendous range of projects for companies in varied domains, including retail, financial services, banking, telecommunications, and health care.

I typically do overall program test management on multi-project integration programs. I'm most interested in large-scale systems integration tests, and when I can, I manage them directly and teach others.

More than any other test I�ve managed, the challenges of large-scale integration tests are multi-dimensional. They're fun to model, and enormous fun to manage, with people and logistical issues all their own. Over time, I've identified some common threads and patterns, and evolved approaches that I've been presenting at conferences, and have started to write about.

2006 will be my 5th AYE. I find it a unique opportunity to share ideas and experiences with people who have similar passions about doing the work I love, and I always come home exhausted but mentally energized.
