I have worked for the MathWorks for 13.5 years - a virtual eternity in the software business. I started as a baby programmer and have grown with the company. I now manage a team of about 30 engineers in 6 groups. This is my first year attending AYE and I�m looking forward to applying a differenct lens to issues of effective leadership on software teams.

I am married with three children. I guess an interesting thing about me is that I mentor a theology class every week. Our family is also involved with a Honduran orphanage. My wife runs the non-profit that supports it in North America and I lead a high school youth group on service projects down there.

I play the guitar for sanity, run for exercise, and read for fun.
