JasonRogersHi, Im a father, husband, and software developer from Toronto. Ive been orbiting the Weinberg world for years and Ive finally arranged to attend AYE 2004. I read Becoming a Technical Leader a few years out of college and it blew me away. A few years later I heard glowing reports about PSL and my interest was rekindled. After a few near-misses, its finally going to happen this year. At work I do short projects in small, cross-functional teams where communication, collaboration and teamwork are just as important as technical wizardry. At play Ive learned a lot about myself while doing home renovation projects with my wife and while coaching my kids in hockey and soccer. My plan for AYE 2004 is to get as much as I can out of it by putting as much as I can into it. Ive recently discovered Yoga so Im looking forward to Early Yoga. Jason, What kind of Yoga are you practicing? Brett, I believe it's called Ashtanga. My teacher claims to be strongly influenced by Bryan Kest. How about you? 2004.04.29 A fusion. The basis is Kripalu Yoga http://www.discoveryyoga.com/KripaluY.htm. It is influenced by Ashtanga yoga. There are other influences including taking the heat element for Bikram yoga. If you have heard of Baptiste power yoga, there are certainly similarities, though it's a bit more spiritually oriented. BrettSchuchert 2004.29.04 Jason, welcome. I'm glad you'll be at the conference this year. JohannaRothman 2004.04.27 Thank you Jason, you're already halfway to the conference if you understand that you get more out of it the more you put into it. That's the way we designed it, and it must be a good design because it's much smarter than we are. - JerryWeinberg 2004.04.28
