JohnSuzukiHi everyone. This is my six AYE conference. I am looking forward to speaking to all who will attend and renewing conversations with past attendees and friends. I have two articles published on the AYE Wiki that may be of interest to folks attending. The 2002 article was inspired by one of my clients where a large number of IT folks that I work with were missing the training and necessary skills to make them effective and productive in their specific roles. I am getting tired trying to teach them everything about software development. 2000 Article: "Some Barriers to Team Coordination and Collaboration" 2002 Article: "My Company Wont Pay! How To Get Approval To Attend Conferences or Training" I have a number of professional interests outside of the typical software disciplines: improving the humanity within software development organizations and applying the Satir Model to high tech organizations. I am an external consultant and my most recent work involved building a new IT organization, help deliver applications, and help coach and mentor development personnel. I am a PSL, Change Shop, SEM, Leader's Forum, Experiential Workshop, Satir Writers Workshop, Satir Yearlong and Satir Leadership Development graduate. I am also certified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instrument. If there is interest as there was last year I can bring a few MBTI instruments and booklets along so folks can take the instrument.
