Karen Straka is an educator/consultant with twenty years experience working with families, individuals, educators and organizations. She has demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, evaluate and intervene in problematic situations. Her major strengths are in consultation, problem solving and group facilitation. Karen is committed to providing a caring and nurturing approach to intervention. Her presentations and workshops are customer focused and are designed with the concerns of the individuals in mind. A warm and gentle leader, Karen takes pride in creating an atmosphere where people feel safe to explore and learn new skills. She believes strongly that experiential learning is most effective for learning new skills. While the focus in her workshops is on learning, Karen�s methods include lecture, demonstration, discovery, exploration, involvement, and feedback, all of which are delivered with empathy. In all she does, Karen strives to create a more fully human environment, where individuals are safe to share themselves and to grow.
