- Pick an ean easy problem
- Read instructions
- Look at picture, note patterns
- Set out pieces with picture, patterns ... right side up
- Define roles to be followed loosely

- Organize pieces into groups (flat) by:
- external boundaries
- patterns
- defining features (eg. face)
- color
- others...
- Connect external boundaries
- Begin connecting largest patterns, colors, etc.

Easy Does It - Puzzle Solving
Prerequisites
- All participants have skills/capabilities/tools to perform steps
- All participants understand project objectives
- Review process and refine to align with objectives
- Most have standard four-sided, one dimensional puzzle
Pre-steps
- Establish scale of project puzzle
- Make adjustments for scale (see recommendations):
- Add more participants for larger puzzles
- Assign roles
- Monitor anxiety level of participants - take breaks or re-assign resources
- Perform usability testing on process and adjust after findings
Main Steps
- Spread pieces face up
- Sort pieces - edge and no edge
- Find corner pieces
- Put edge pieces together
- Find part of picture to start with
- Look for pieces that fit with common colors on edges
- Continue until done
Don't forget:
- Look at picture
- Sort by color
