Session Three003: Creating a Marketing Plan for Your Consulting Business

Session description: Many people know the nuts the bolts about starting a consulting business and could be great consultants. The part they have trouble with is the marketing plan: how to let potential customers know what your products and services are, and why they should hire you. Experienced consultants, Johanna Rothman and Esther Derby, will elicit your marketing concerns, help you create a position statement, and start to generate a marketing plan for your consulting business.

Session learning objectives:

  • Create a position statement that uniquely identifies you and your products and services
  • Understand the difference between the technical buyer and the economic buyer
  • Create an initial marketing plan
