I met Steve about ten years ago at a conference. He seemed to be a pleasant and friendly person. He had just published his book Code Complete and was getting lots of accolades for it. Still, he stood around and spoke with about 15 minutes about writing books and such. The chat was encouraging, and I appreciated his time.
