SystemsAnalysisFrameworkAndAgenda
An introduction to the premise of this session
- Sometimes requirements are ridiculously small and sometimes the opposite. On some projects there is little to no access to people. Projects where people seem to have open access to one another have no plan for how to focus their discussion. Regardless of what we have we need a way to make sense of what we do have and where to go as a next step.
- What kinds of problems arise?
A discussion of Systems Analysis and the role of models
- terminology can be very confusing. Systems Analysis alone has many different focuses. It would be usful to explore different interpretations
- people love models, people hate models. Models have been used and abused. So, what prerequisites make them work? ...or fail.
Introduce Eagle Airlines problem
- information sources
- the people at Eagle
- A project charter from Eagle
Set up a simulation for Eagle Airlines
- models involved
- how the simulation will work
Run the simulation
Debrief the simulation findings
- What kinds of problems were discovered
- How do the findings map to the original types of problems we found.
