I help software organizations develop collaboration skills for extraordinary teams.

I have worked in the software industry since 1980, as a developer, manager, process steward, and consultant. For my design contributions to Cabletron Systems' Spectrum network management system, I was awarded two US Patents. From 1995 to 1999, I consulted to IT and software product development organizations about software development, project management, and team and interpersonal effectiveness. From 1999 to 2002, I worked in Sun Microsystems' IT organization to define, promote, and support effective software project management practices.

My personal mission is to help people (including me!) create value, joy, and meaning in their work. My greatest challenges and rewards come from helping people develop personal and team practices that serve their deeply held values. I am especially interest in understanding "resistance" to change.

I've very recently started blogging. I don't know why, but the blog medium has encouraged me to start writing things I'd previously only threatened to write.

I loved AYE 2000. I can't believe that I skipped two years. I'm here now. Hi.
