Ideas for Interaction at the Conference
This is a sort of brainstorming page for making the conference interactive in as many ways as possible. Here are some of the things we're thinking about or planning.
Please add your own ideas. If they're not self-explanatory, or need development, create a new wiki page for them.
- We had a HydePark with "soapboxes." It was supposed to be out on the lawn, where anybody could make a speech to any audience that gathers, but it was raining! Nobody made much use of this, but we'll try again.
- We created a ConferenceTapestry on one of the public walls, where sheets and pens were always be available for anyone to add whatever they wished. It was fun, and informative. We'll have this again.
- Nobody had the energy to publish a DailyNewspaper for all attendees, but Lois and Susie were fountains of information.
- There were BirdsOfaFeather sessions, organized at the conference, or even in advance with the help of this wiki. We provided meeting space and a space for announcements, but we didn't have as many BOFs as we'd hoped. (People were engaged in the regular sessions, it seems.) We'll look for ways to encourage more this year.
- We'll keep experimenting with various forms of InteractionInSessions .
- What else?
ArticleInteraction is a way to interact before the conference starts in Scottsdale.
Let's amplify our ability to interact by making it easy to interact on things that were formerly one-way, like articles. If you want to discuss stuff in the articles, you can go to the page for ArticleInteraction and discuss it. DickKarpinski
