Jean McLendon, LCSW, LMFT coach, friend, mentor, consultant, to many of the AYE community, has over 30 years of professional experience in helping people deal with change, conflict, and connection. Her history with many in the AYE community began when she co-created and presented the annual Change Shop with Dani and Jerry Weinberg.

Jean is the Director of Training for Satir Systems and a personal, professional and organization development consultant. Her multi service private practice of psychotherapy and coaching is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Known as one of the foremost Satir practitioners, Jean's work is featured in Allyn and Bacon's video series, "Family Therapy with the Experts". She received the 'Champion of the Family' award from the N.C. Chapter of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists in 2003. Recently she was given the 'Living Treasure' award from Avanta: The Virginia Satir Network.
