Jim is a thought leader in the agile movement, and co-editor with Alistair Cockburn of Addison Wesley's Agile Software Development Series He comes to methodology analysis from the project manager viewpoint. His interviews of Kent Beck, Alistair Cockburn, Ken Schwaber, etc. explore the management and strategy sides of issues as well as the developer side. A consistant drive for honesty (what do you really do, not what does your written process say you do) and pragmatic "what works" makes his books interesting to read.
