Hello everyone!

I'm looking forward to my first conference. I first heard about AYE from PhilStubbington who I know some of you will have met in 2003. Phil was due to attend again this year but unfortunately his presence is now needed elsewhere! Like Phil I also work for Exel and am currently managing acceptance testing for our global freight management division.

Me being an AYE 'newbie' I will be coming along and taking things as they come, however, to provide a bit of background my 'hot' topics are:
i) how to improve a small team's ability to capture and realise good ideas. Too often whatever isn't implemented as a quick win will morph off into the ether!
ii)Risk-based testing: Are there latent investments in SIT which can be employed for UAT? e.g. can orthogonal arrays and or 'pair-wise' testing be combined with the documented business risks to optimise acceptance test coverage?
iii) How to improve closure. Projects (and therefore testing) nearly alway start with a bang and finish with a fizzle!

Outside work my interests lie in the plastic arts, especially painting, and in recent years I've been exercising the limits of my tenacity by studying Spanish....Hay algunas hispanohablantes asistiendo en AYE?

Looking forward to meeting everyone.
