SessId043Being a Change Leader Join Marie Benesh and Sheila Smith in exploring ways to be a more effective change leader. Put yourself in the position to feel what its really like to lead difficult change. Learn to recognize what specific behaviors of leaders most influence the outcome of change efforts. Know the signals you should look for as a change leader to see whether a change is really taking hold, and the sure-fire ways to derail a change initiative. Discover ways to engage others at all levels in the organization to shape the change and lead it with you. Bring whats worked for you and participate in an idea exchange as part of the session, too. MarieBenesh We'd like to invite those of you who are attending this session to bring any tools, techniques, and other ideas on ways to support your organization or yourself during a change effort. You can bring these in any form you like....an index card that you read from, a handout, a diskette with something on it for us to duplicate and send out to attendees, whatever. MarieBenesh I'd like to bring Sweetie and Ruby, for they are my main support during change efforts, but they are otherwise occupied for the weekend. But I'll bring photos - I suspect others might bring photos of some elements of their support networks. - JerryWeinberg I'd like it if you brought Sweetie and Ruby, but I'll settle for the pictures.
