C05. Exploring the Fullness of Projects: A Project Reconstruction
MarieBenesh, EileenStrider

Description Have you ever noticed feeling full at the end of a project? Maybe you felt full of relief? Or full of pride? Or fully exhausted? Or maybe just full of it! What did you do with these feelings?

This session will integrate state-of-the art project retrospective techniques with Virginia Satirs organization mapping and sculpting methods. We will work with a session participant to understand her/his projects organizational map and history. This participant, referred to as the Explorer, will then have the opportunity to sculpt a few particularly interesting scenes from his/her project with the help of other session participants and our personal supportive guidance. In the process of sculpting these scenes, the Explorer will have the opportunity to discover new learning about herself/himself and how he participates in projects. Everyone in the session will have a role whether it be observer or participant in the sculpts. Therefore everyone will have an opportunity to learn. There is a kind of "universality" of experience shared by all of us who have dealt with difficult project situations. It may surprise you how observing a sculpt or playing a role in one can deepen your understanding of your own project experiences.

Learning Objectives
1) how to extract deep personal learning from project experiences 2) ways to connect your reactions with the project events that trigger them 3) how your physical body stores project memories and can help you learn

Prerequisites
Comfortable (or at least okay) with observing deep personal exploration of project lessons.
