WhatBooksDoYouListenTo

There are many lists of many good books on the wiki.

Speaking Peace is mentioned in the NonViolentCommunication thread. I recently purchased it am enjoying it as I drive.

What "books" do you have that you listen to? DonGray 2004.02.17

One book segment I found Extremely useful to listen to -- and had real trouble comprehending when written -- was the "Beer Game" by Senge. It was amazing to me how much clearer it all became as I listened to it. DianeGibson 2004.02.17

I listened to "An Introduction to NLP" by O'Connor and McDermott yesterday. I enjoyed listening to it. DonGray 2004.02.20

I listen to lots of books. See for examples.

I often will listen to an audio version of a book I've recently read in paper version, and vice versa. Reading a book in both ways often helps me to remember the key ideas better.

Probably says more about my driving than anything else, but I find it very hard to concentrate on verbal material when driving (or, in fact, trying to do anything else). Perhaps on the next long haul flight to India (or Phoenix!) I'll give it a shot again.

The last thing I tried to listen to was a teach yourself Italian course by Michel Thomas. I now know every combination of 'it is not possible', which I guess would keep me out of trouble (and out of food).

Incidentally, has anyone experimented with the "Read Aloud" option in Adobe Acrobat Reader. I suspect it would start to grate after a short while, but one way of catching up on all those articles in my reading backlog!
