AsterixDate

Its called an "asterix" not a "star" Bob.

;)

Ken, My use of StarDate came from KeithRay who (I believe) took it from the old Star Trek series "Captain's log, Star Date .....". Your mileage may vary, but with Enterprise speed, ("Warp factor 5, Mr. Sulu.") obviously we'll think that much faster. ;)

Oops, that's spelled "asterisk" not "asterix" and that means:

  • A star-shaped symbol in type '*'.
  • Kurt Vonnegut's graphic for the exit orfice.
  • Most telephone Voice-response systems refer to it as a "star" in the US.

It seemed like a funny play on words late last night. I am not nearly as amused this morning.

I like the Tom Leherer quote! I used to have all his records.

Speaking of writing naughty words on the wall, I recall a little jingle from my youth, that went approximately like this:
Mary had a little mule,
She rode it hard and brisk,
Now wasn't Mary quite a fool,
Her little * ?
