Having left Phoenix, I am at AYE.
How? New friends, deeper friendships, safety, transformation, hugs, toys, smiles, buzz.
Thank You.

I am thankful for my learnings at AYE. Distinguish learnings from teachings:
Great teachings are like fingers pointing at the moon. If you watch the fingers, you cannot see the moon.
I continue to wear my finger puppet as a reminder.

Saturday night following AYE the moon disappeared altogether. We howled under a dark sky as crickets rubbed their legs together furiously. The moon reappeared.

Hi Ira,

How can I respond? You provoke my introspective side:

We were all together, my children, my wife, my Mom and my Dad after sharing a wonderful dinner.
Together, we stared in awe at the loss and reappearance of the moon and its afterglow.
I leaned over and explained the remarkable eclipse to my son and daughter.
After Phoenix, this event was like an opportunity and a message at the same time.
Special moments are infrequent and must be grabbed at, exploited, and remembered.

I shared special time with my generations of self, father, and son, and we came together in likeness and disparity.
We are one and we are separate; we will appear and disappear like the moon, but we will maintain our legacy in generations past and to come.
Perhaps, the continuum of life is within ourselves and surrounds us through experience with one another.
Maybe it resides in our own reflections on the past and our projections for the future.
I will embrace both the teachings and learnings, for each offers chances for enchantment, exploration, and discovery.

And the latest lunar eclipse celebrated a Red Sox World Series win, the breaking of a self-inflicted Curse, and great joy in many many hearts. Portentious indeed.

This year I had the opportunity to share morning Chi Kung (Qi Gong) play with other early risers. After each session, the players chatted briefly and I walked away from the tent with new understandings. Thank you for the learnings. I would be grateful to anyone willing to share impressions and take-aways under the topic ChiKungPlay.

Ira, I'm glad I had the opportunity to be a part of your "triad" in the Satir Systems Coaching exercise. What a powerful experience! Your openness and calm intensity were awesome to behold. --DaveHoover 2004.11.15

Thank You for the kind words Dave. Now that the dust has settled, tell me what you continue to think of the Satir session. Knowing that you are a trained family therapist, I left our triad curious-- wondering how the session would influence your approach. IraWeinstein 2004.11.16

I blogged about the session. It had a big impact on me. --DaveHoover 2004.11.18
