PhotoWalkI'm a photo hobbyist. I've recently moved to a fully digital format and have collected a number of lenses for my equipment. I'll be brining much of my photo equipment as I'll be arriving early (probably on Friday) and plan to spend time before AYE and during taking photographs.
To see other examples of my stuff, check out: http://www.pbase.com/brett_schuchert If you'd be interested in going on a photo journey, let me know and we'll walk around taking pictures. 06.01.2004 - I don't know if I will make it this year or not. I am still debating whether I want to be gone from home for another week in the fall or not. But if I come I am definitely up for it. I also have converted over to digital. (Canon D-60.) However, I would need you to keep your TS lens far away so I am not tempted. :-) For some recent photographs, Back to AcTiviTies2004 Wow, I'm so impressed. If I bring a digital camera, can you guys run a BOF (or something else?) and show me how you compose pictures? -- JohannaRothman 2004.06.02 If I attend (still debating in my mind), I would really enjoy running a BOF talking about composition and lighting. AlanSmith 2004.06.02 Alan, I like your photos, composition and even the framing. Very nice work. I hope you have a chance to attend; it would be good to talk (hobby) shop. Johanna, sure we can talk composition. I'm a beginner; I suspect you'll get some good advice from Alan (looking at his work). Thanks! (whether or not you do the BOF on comp and lighting.) EstherDerby 060204 What Esther Said. Alan, I'd love to see you at the conference again this year. -- JohannaRothman 2004.06.03 Thank you both for your kind words. I'll let you know what I decide. -- AlanSmith 2004.06.30 I realized that I had neglected to mention on this thread that I will be there and will lead a Photography BOF. It is described at PhotographyShootAndTalk. -- AlanSmith 2004.10.07 What I would like from all you shutterbugs is some official photos of this year's conference. We could use them here, on the website, and perhaps in a brochure or poster. We wanted to do a poster last year, but didn't have enough good photos. Any volunteers? All are welcome. - JerryWeinberg 2004.06.30 Jerry, I'm happy to offer pictures. I'll be able to process them while at the conference so you can get pictures to post both during and after. As for posters, is that for the next year's conference? - BrettSchuchert 2004.07.01 I think so. JerryWeinberg 2004.07.01 Sometimes digital cameras do things. We have a waterproof (if you're less than 3 meters for less than 30 minutes) Pentax digtial. Karol got this series of me on a rapid on the Tellico River in SE Tennesee. I'm not sure what the camera settings were. If you're WW kayaking and more than 3 meters for more than 30 minutes, you have other problems. DonGray 2004.07.10 I am interested in joining photo and other walking trips and a photo BOF. MartineDevos I have added a signup for those interested in a photo BOF: PhotographyShootAndTalk AlanSmith 2004.08.12
