AlanSmithAfter reading everyone else's description, I may possibly be one of the least interesting people there. :-) I went to the last PsL and found out about AYE there. I also have been a member of the SHAPE forum and have learned and enjoyed quite a bit there. I was at AYE 2003 and will be there again for AYE 2004. See you in Phoenix!! Plans for AYE 2004 - Monday AM: SessionFour017 (Geographically Dispersed Team)- I also want to attend SessionFour025 (Risk Management)- Monday PM: SessionFour002 (Organizational Mapping)- I also want to attend SessionFour018 (Decision Skills for Teams)- Tuesday AM: SessionFour027 (Positive Politics)- I also want to attend SessionFour004 (Project Status) and SessionFour012 (Change Agent)- Tuesday PM: SessionFour026 (Estimates)- No second choice- Wednesday AM: SessionFour022 (Deja Vu)- No second choice- Wednesday PM: SessionFour001 (Rules into Guides)- I also want to attend SessionFour024 (Systems Engineering) and SessionFour014 (Reflection Leading to Action) Professionally: -I have worked with software for about 13 years now and as a result of PsL I realized that my favorite part is working with people and helping them succeed. Personally: -Husband to a wonderful wife -Father of one adorable toddler girl and one baby boy. -Quite avid photographer (Yes, I'll have at least one camera with me at AYE) -I now live in the suburb of Dallas, TX but used to live in Phoenix (Chandler, actually) before I had kids so I know of some personal favorite restaurants! -Enjoy leading small groups in my church as I love to help people struggle with who God is and why that matters. -I LOVE game playing. Especially the more current German board games. I especially like games where you have to decide between several good alternatives. I find that they provide a lot of insight as I later reflect on my choices. Alan, I sincerely doubt you will be one of the least interesting people at AYE. It's possible you could be less of a character than some of us, but not less interesting. I look forward to meeting you. -- JohannaRothman 2003.07.26 Thank you Johanna, I look forward to meeting you as well. - AlanSmith 2003.07.28 Alan, I am glad you are coming to AYE.
