Hi,

yet another Wiki page 'about me', made on the occasion of AYE2003. Like LaurentBossavit I am fond of OnceAndOnlyOnce, so for more 'about me' information please visit .

Someone pointed out to me, that the term OnceAndOnlyOnce is in itself repetitive... so I'll use DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) from now on :-)

I'm looking forward to meeting a few old acquaintances (LaurentBossavit and JuttaEckstein), and making new ones.

Other places you can meet me in real life (and find 'about me' wiki pages duplicated :-) ) include . The last one is a conference which grew out of a group of software development coaches in the Netherlands and Belgium meeting about every six weeks to do systems thinking .

--12 november 2003, back home, I noticed I did go to many different sessions than the ones I signed up to... Comments on sessions and events plus fotographs are appearing on .

These are the sessions I signed up to (choosing is difficult, since there are so many interesting sessions :-) ):

Sunday warmup tutorial. Monday Morning: Effective Habits in Software Development (SessionThree012) JerryWeinberg.

Monday Afternoon: SignupForThree005 Delivering Presentations with Confidence and Competence (SessionThree005)

Tuesday morning: Exploring Tradeoffs: Quality versus Speed (SessionThree001) Steve Smith Don Gray

Tuesday afternoon: SignupForThree014 - Steering the System: Effective Interventions (SessionThree014) - JerryWeinberg and DonGray

Wednesday Morning: Collaborative Decision Making (SessionThree017) JimHighsmith

Wednesday Afternoon: Reflection Leading to Action (SessionThree028) EstherDerby

Hi Willem,

You are more prolific than I! I'm so glad I met you and hope to stay in touch. Your pix are great!

I can certainly identify with your ruminations, especially regarding the Satir exercise. Although I participated in a different session with Jean, I connected with my internal images of myself and others at different points in my life. I'm not exactly sure how I can incorporate role-playing, as much as to envision how I want to behave in certain situations based on what I learned.

Hi Jay, I find your description of the Satir Systems Coaching workshop more prolific than mine (or were you referring to my articles?), kind of poetic - I like it. I don't consider myself that strong on staying in touch electronically - I prefer person-to-person interaction. I liked my first trip to the states, so I guess "I'll be back" -- Willem 2003.11.12
