AyeResults

While discussing the LackingPersonalSkills, the question of measuring success was mentioned. This leads naturally to the question of ... What results have you achieved in your life, personal or business, that was based on something you learned at an AYE Conference? DonGray 2003.04.24

I think these count as a result:

  • It seems to me we're doing quite well in the publication area, with lots of AYEers names appearing in print. How about we step up production even more? - quoting JerryWeinberg
  • The flock of Blogs (Is "flock" correct for a grouping of Blogs? Or maybe herd? Pod? Pride? Pack?) which sprung up faster than they might have without the collective.
  • AYE augments CommunityOfPractice activities that go on outside of AYE. I got invited to contribute to CSE 403 at the U-Washington last year and I'm busy coauthoring a piece on QA management with Brian Branagan. AYE contact helped both of these relationships along.

I think Jerry's challenge here is really about results:

I challenge some of you who haven't published something this year (and those who have, of course) . . . - JerryWeinberg
