NeverEndingWiki

This wiki is eternal, keeping the conference-between-conferences going all the time.

But eternal doesn't mean unchangeable, so please feel free to update it, even deleting old stuff that really isn't relevant or current any longer.

We hosts will be making changes ourselves, but all present and past participants are entitled to share the work and fun of keeping the wiki a living, useful part of the AYE community. Thanks for pitching in. - JerryWeinberg 2004.11.29

A problem with a never ending wiki is it never ends! How do we keep up with the thoughts and musings from past years?

One way involves following the InterestingCurrentThreads link on the Home page. This goes back 3 years (2002 - 2004). What are your favorite threads? DonGray 2004.12.22

Don, do you know how many threads there are? We have links back to 2000, if you use All Pages. Some of my favourites are AncientWisdom, AyeKu, ClimbOutOfTechDebt, DoTestersResonateWithModels, InMyOwnWay, LifeChangingExperience, OddHiringPractices, SatirToolkitAdditions and ScheduleGames. Sherry,

do you know how many threads there are?

Actually, no I don't. I used the "All Pages" link to look at a couple pages today. Perhaps some continuing education for me this year will be to review some the previous years' threads every month. I wonder what (if any) the changes will indicate about the AYE community. DonGray 2005.01.18

That's an interesting idea; I may try it myself. There is a lot of really good material out there. As I recall, Jerry tried to get AYErs to write articles based on some of the more interesting threads last year or perhaps the one before. Maybe this year someone will do it. SherryHeinze 2005.01.18

Some wikis have a "random page" feature which appeals to some of us. Meanwhile there are about 6 articles I want to write off of or inspired by material here. Unfortunately, my writing for publication discipline has gone right out the window with my current / recent gig. These guys pay cash money, so at the moment they win . . .

I understand. And I really want to reencourage some of you to write up some of this great stuff. I will personally help you edit it so you wont' look foolish (if you want me to), and I'll see that Johanna puts it in among our AYE articles, so you're guaranteed at least one place to publish. There's a lot here that would be nice to share with the world. - JerryWeinberg 2005.01.20
